Money in the Bank 2023: Former Universal Champion’s return rumoured at WWE PLE

Recent reports have claimed that former WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is on board for a return at Money in the Bank as the premium live event (PLE) will be held in his homeland of the United Kingdom.

Now, former Universal Champion, Bray Wyatt could also be on his way back to WWE TV schedule for the first time since February of this year. WWE Officials are very hopeful about getting him back on the road and plan a match around him at SummerSlam.

According to reports from Xero News, WWE wants him to appear as early as Money in the Bank and build towards a match for the Biggest Event of the Summer. If he’s unable to do so, then SummerSlam itself could be the event where he marks his return.

“Timing is the key now, they’ll unleash him upon us once again when the time is right. The last I heard was that Bray would enter a major feud upon his return,” Xero report added.

“There were some murmurs that if Bray isn’t ready for SummerSlam, he could return AT the event itself or very shortly after, but again I state – WWE are very hopeful of having him back on the road.”

Bray Wyatt was originally scheduled to face Bobby Lashley at WrestleMania 39 and builds also began regarding that match. However, due to personal issues, the match got canceled, and Wyatt missed action since then.

At that point, Wyatt was reportedly fighting an illness during the time of WrestleMania. WWE never mentioned anything regarding his status after his absence began, but rather quietly dropped the Wyatt vs. Lashley storyline.

Now that his comeback news has been floated on the internet, the source also added that a major feud against a top WWE Superstar is waiting for him. However, there is no update on whether that feud is planned on Raw or SmackDown.

WWE Money in the Bank 2023 Premium Live Event goes down on Saturday, July 1 from the O2 Arena in London, England. No teases regarding Wyatt or Drew McIntyre have been made on WWE’s part as it stands. The official match card goes as follows:
