LONDON, 24th October, 2022 (WAM) — More than 90 energy supply chain companies are showcasing their products and services at the UK, Scottish and EIC Pavilions at ADIPEC 2022 Exhibition & Conference in Abu Dhabi.
2022 marks EIC’s 16th consecutive UK Pavilion at ADIPEC since its first in 2000. EIC, the Energy Industries Council, is one of the world’s largest energy trade associations with more than 800 members, providing world-renowned global energy market intelligence, events, and insights.
Energy businesses travel to Abu Dhabi from the UK and across the globe to bring their new and innovative technologies and solutions to support energy projects in the Middle East region, home to more than 678 energy projects under development between 2022-2028, valued at more than US$1 trillion. The UAE alone has 110 project opportunities worth US$196 billion.
Stuart Broadley, CEO of EIC, said, “UK energy companies have been active in the Middle East’s energy market for generations and indeed the EIC was originally established in 1943 to help our members to grow internationally in the petroleum sector and the Middle East was one of the first target markets. Over time, the EIC and the Middle East have diversified and transitioned to now be active in all energy markets. Importantly, those operators and supply chain companies that grew out of the oil & gas industry are now helping to lead the world through its latest energy transition as we all strive for global net zero by 2050.”
“ADIPEC has always been an amazing platform for exhibitors to access business opportunities in the region. This is underpinned by the fact that ADIPEC has been EIC’s biggest Pavilion globally since 2015, with companies attracted by incredible quality and quantity of show attendees and decision makers, not just from the UAE and the Middle East but also from around the world,” he added.
