Most drivers looking to switch to electric cars before ULEZ expansion

While there is optimism for many to switch vehicles, drivers in and around London may face difficulties due to availability.

Recent research from Churchill Expert shows average waiting times for drivers looking to lease a new vehicle is over 19 weeks.

Online car marketplaces, including Auto Trader, have reported a “shortage” of affordable, ULEZ-compliant second-hand cars.

In London, there are just over 5,000 used cars on the market that meet the requirements and cost less than £5,000.
