Lata Mangeshkar was one of the most legendary singers of the country. She was 92 years old when she breathed her last at the Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai. She was proudly called the Nightingale of India and that stands true till date. She has given multiple hit songs to the world and Mangeshkar has left a void that can’t ever be filled.

Ajeeb Dastaan Hain Yeh from Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai (1960)

Another iconic hit by Mangeshkar was Ajeeb Dastaan Hain Yeh from the movie Dil Apna Aur Preet Parai. The music composition was given by Shankar–Jaikishan and the lyrics were penned by Shailendra.

Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya from Mughal-e-Azam (1960)

Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna from Guide (1965)

Aaj Phir Jeene Ki Tamanna was sung by Mangeshkar for the movie Guide in 1965 which starred Dev Anand and Waheeda Rehman. The music is composed by Sachin Dev Burman and lyrics were given by Shailendra.

Aye Mere Watan Ke Logo (1963)

You can’t have a national patriotic Holiday that goes by without this song. Lata Mangeshkar will always live on in this patriotic song written by Kavi Pradeep, composed by C. Ramchandra. The song commemorates the Indian soldiers who had died during the Sino-Indian War in 1962.
