White vinegar can be found at the back of most people’s cleaning cupboards but those who don’t have any can buy it online, from local supermarkets or from hardware stores.

Other suggestions from Mrs Hinch fans included using sandpaper, HG limescale remover, cola, citric acid and Black Harpic.
