NEW DELHI: Mahendra Singh Dhoni on Wednesday etched his name in the Indian Premier League (IPL) record books by becoming the first player to captain an IPL side in 200 games.
Chennai Super Kings vs Rajasthan Royals at MA Chidambaram Stadium is the charismatic skipper Dhoni’s 200th game as the Chennai side’s captain. He is the only IPL captain to lead in 200 or more matches in the league.

Dhoni has been part of the CSK side from the beginning, except for the two years (2016-17) the team was suspended from the league due to the involvement of their officials in illegal activities.
Before today’s match, Dhoni’s record as CSK skipper is 120 wins from 199 games, the most by a captain in the league. CSK lost 78 times and had one no result under Dhoni since the inception of the league in 2008.
