If the first proper party season in two years has got you dreaming of new party dresses, news of the latest M&S x Ghost Autumn/Winter ’21 collection will be music to your jewel-embellished ears.
Since the high-street hero first teamed up with Kate Middleton-adored label Ghost back in November 2020, every one of their collections have been a sell-out success. In fact, 18% of all dress sales at Marks and Spencer’s in the first half of this year were from M&S x GHOST collections alone. We told you. Popular.
As such, when M&S exclusively revealed the drop of their fifth limited-edition line earlier today, we couldn’t contain our excitement.
Drawing on Ghost’s endlessly popular penchant for vintage-inspired silhouettes, the 16-piece collection of maxi, midi and mini dresses – plus party season-appropriate separates like a ruffled midi skirt, velvet wrap blouse and tailored trousers – will not only make a sartorial statement right now, but also stand the test of time.
The design teams at both brands have been continuing their exploration into print and colour for the new this collection, though they’ve introduced new fabrics to nod to the winter months. Case in point: those featuring vibrant flowers cascading over midnight canvases instead of pastel backdrops. Elsewhere, luxe velvet co-ords have been introduced – alongside fan favourite prints like leopard and star.
Alongside the introduction of power prints for the party season, cuts have been elevated, too. Think: frill detailing, pleats and puff sleeves inspired by designer brands like Sister Jane, Cecilie Bahnsen and Sleeper.

The collection is available in sizes 6-20, and everything is priced between £69 and £99. Yep: in true M&S fashion, each timeless piece comes in under the £100 mark. Considering the dresses in Ghost’s own range will often set you back upwards of £150, it’s the perfect opportunity to inject the vintage-inspired aesthetic championed by the brand into your wardrobe for a more accessible price.
And that’s not all. The latest M&S X Ghost collection sees the return of M&S x Ghost Mini-Me designs, with three gorgeous M&S kids dresses cut in the same prints and silhouettes as those from the women’s range. Perfect for getting get matchy-matchy with your little ones. So cute.
