Let’s start off with the final season of one of Prime Video’s biggest hits!

The end of the Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is nigh! When we last left Midge (played by Rachel Brosnahan from House of Cards), she was kicking herself for giving up opening acts and is considering going back to them. She also gets a new job writing for a comedy show, which could help her make it into the big time. Her ex (played by Michael Zegen from Boardwalk Empire) is getting married again and expecting with his new partner. And new this season, the show features flashforwards showing Midge’s later life as a massive success. This show also stars Tony Shalhoub (from Monk), Marin Hinkle (from Once and Again), and Alex Borstein (from Family Guy).

Waco: The Aftermath

Next up, a sequel to an intense miniseries!

Waco: The Aftermath is a sequel to the 2018 miniseries Waco, which is about the infamous 1993 standoff between the FBI, the ATF and the cult known as the Branch Davidians. It lasted for 53 days, and ended with the death of David Koresh, a leader in the cult. This new five episode miniseries focuses on the trial after, with the FBI’s negotiator (played by Michael Shannon from Knives Out and Take Shelter) taking centre stage at the trial. This miniseries also stars Giovanni Ribisi (from Sneaky Pete), Kali Rocha (from Liv and Maddie), and David Costabile (from Breaking Bad).

Renfield

Now, let’s take a look at a modern take on a classic tale!

Renfield is a new film starring Nicholas Hoult (from Mad Max: Fury Road and the Great) as R.M. Renfield, the familiar for one Count Dracula (played by Nic Cage from Vampire’s Kiss, Adaptation, and Pig). In the modern day the two have moved to New Orleans, and Renfield is getting sick of the decades of finding victims for Dracula. He joins a self-help group to try to figure out how to leave his toxic relationship, but the Count is always a few steps ahead of his familiar. This film also stars Awkafina (from the Farewell), Ben Schwartz (from Sonic the Hedgehog), and Shohreh Aghdashloo (from House of Saddam).

Seven Kings Must Die

Next up, a trip back in time to the 9th century!

Seven Kings Must Die is the feature length finale of Netflix’s the Last Kingdom series. That show, which adapts the historical fiction novels known as the Saxon Stories, are about the end of the various Anglo-Saxon rulers in England, and how their demise led to the creation of England’s monarchy. The series and the film both focus on Uhtred of Bebbanburg (played by Alexander Dreymon from Resistance), a man of two worlds. The rightful heir to Bebbanburg, he was captured by invading Danes as a child and raised by them. He hopes to reclaim his legacy, but is split between the worlds of invaders and invaded. This film focuses on the end of multiple Saxon kingdoms, and Uhtred’s part in forming the monarchy. This film also stars Harry Gilby (from Tolkien), Laurie Davidson (from Will), and Mark Rowley (from the Witcher: Blood Origin).

Barry (Season 4)

Last and certainly not least, the final season of one of HBO’s funniest shows!

Barry is back! Bill Hader’s (from Hot Rod, Adventureland, and It Chapter Two) hitman who wants to be an actor was arrested in the third season finale and is now residing in prison. Despite all of his actions, Barry still sees himself as a good man. And when he encounters Fuches (played by Stephen Root from Office Space) in prison, Barry starts to formulate his plan. Will his non-crime friends survive the last season of Barry, or will they bite the dust? This show also stars Sarah Goldberg (from Rogue Agent), Henry Winkler (from Happy Days), and Anthony Carrigan (from Bill & Ted Face the Music).
