N-Dubz, famous for 2000s hits such as Playing With Fire and I Need You, were due to perform at the Derbyshire County Cricket Ground this Saturday (June 24).

In a statement on their Instagram posted at 12.27pm today (Tuesday, June 20) said that the gig, which was announced in April, is no longer going ahead.

The statement alluded to a disagreement over “the terms of our contract”.

They said: “We are very unhappy to announce that this Saturday’s show in Derby is cancelled.

“We along with the touring team have done all we can to make this a great show for you, but due to the promotor’s inability to follow the terms of our contract, it can not go ahead.

“The promotor should make their announcement of how they will issue a refund in the coming days.

“However as a band we will still ensure our fans get to see us this summer.

“We will therefore be offering all our Derby ticket holders a ticket for our Telford show on Sunday, July 9.”

In November last year, the band pulled out of their Nottingham show at the Motorpoint Arena with just minutes to go before they were meant to go on stage, upsetting many fans.

Tickets for Saturday’s gig went on sale on April 12, with the “last remaining tickets” slashed in price at the end of May to ensure a sell-out. They originally cost between £45 and £65, but the last ones cost just £35.

Support acts were meant to include former Love Island star Wes Nelson and Long Eaton-based singer-songwriter Lyvia.

The band have offered all Derby ticket holders a ticket to their show in Telford, in Shropshire, instead.

N-Dubz are touring this summer in anticipation of their new album Timeless, set for release on August 4.

Since they announced their return from an 11-year hiatus last year, the band have released three singles – Charmer, February and Habibti.
