Netflix has dropped a new trailer for the third and final season of Narcos: Mexico. The trailer teases how the ending of the second season made way for the next generation of cartels.
The new Narcos: Mexico season 3 trailer focuses on bosses of the Sinaloa, Juarez, and Tijuana cartels who are trying to replace Felix Gallardo, the Godfather of Guadalajara cartel. The first two seasons told the story of the rise and fall of Gallardo, after he kidnaps and kills DEA agent Kiki Camarena. This incident changes the relationship between the US and Mexico forever.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the official synopsis of Narcos: Mexico season 3 reads, “Set in the ’90s, when the globalization of the drug business ignites, season three examines the war that breaks out after Felix’s arrest. As newly independent cartels struggle to survive political upheaval and escalating violence, a new generation of Mexican kingpins emerge. But in this war, truth is the first casualty — and every arrest, murder and take-done only pushes real victory further away.”
The cast of Narcos: Mexico season 3 features Scoot McNairy, José María Yázpik, Alfonso Dosal, Mayra Hermosillo, Matt Letscher, Manuel Masalva, Alejandro Edda, Gorka Lasaosa, Luisa Rubino, Luis Gerardo Méndez, Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio aka Bad Bunny, and Alberto Guerra. Wagner Moura, who played Pablo Escobar in Narcos, will direct the final season of Narcos: Mexico, and Carlo Bernard serves as the showrunner.
Narcos: Mexico season 3 will have 10 episodes and it will debut on Netflix on November 5.
