- BCG: bacille Calmette-Guerin (BCG) is a vaccine that has been in use for the last 80 years and is administered in children to fight against Tuberculosis (TB). According to the UNICEF, it is a widely used vaccine and is apart of Universal Immunization Program (UIP). Mostly, it is given to children right at birth. It is one of the most essential vaccines to be administered in humans.
- Flu: According to the Serum Institute of India the flu vaccine is considered to be safe for children of 2-17 years of age.
- DPT Vaccine: This vaccines helps shield against three disease namely diphtheria, pertussis, and tetanus. Usually, there are two of its booster doses that are administered around 2 years and then around 5-6 years of age.
- TD Vaccines: This is another vaccine that is made to fight against tetanus and diphtheria. According to UNICEF report the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has recommended to replace the TT vaccine with latest Td vaccination. This is applicable for all age groups who are required to take this jab. .
