As the NBA commissioner, Adam Silver’s job is to improve the league.
That includes fixing the emerging flopping problem, something players across the league have engaged in.
According to The Athletic/Stadium’s Shams Charania, one of the two new rules for next season involves the flopping issue.
“Just in: The NBA Board of Governors has approved two new gameplay changes for the 2023-24 season, per sources: – In-game penalty for flops resulting in technical foul free throw – A second coach’s challenge awarded if first challenge is successful.”

This is a significant rule change because flopping can majorly impact the game’s outcome. The same goes for coach challenges.
Silver is one of the best commissioners in sports. He’s always searching for ways to improve the game for players and fans.
That’s why the NBA has become so successful as a league and will continue to grow.
