Ja Morant won’t be on the court when next season begins.
The Memphis Grizzlies All-Star was suspended for 25 games to begin the 2023 season for his second gun incident this season.
Days later, ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that Morant’s circle feels a certain way about things.
“I have heard indirectly that Ja and people close to Ja, perhaps people formerly close to Ja, have this feeling that the NBA out to get them. That the media is out to get them.”
Based on their comments on social media, NBA fans seem bothered by the report. One reason is the lack of accountability Morant appears to show here.
450 players were in the nba this season and you are the only one to post a gun on live social media twice now ???? you standing out on your own bud https://t.co/mc5CtOUqTx

Dude beat up a 17 year old kid last summer, and has kids looking up to him and was flashing a gun around, then gets in trouble again for a gun, but the NBA is out to get him? Please. https://t.co/7pt0MPnkTH

Morant, 23, is one of the most exciting young superstars in the league.
That’s why Morant needs to clean up these off-court issues to be viewed as a better role model for fans worldwide.
For Morant, the suspension could cost him around $50 million in losses.
