It’s been a hot minute since Kristaps Porzingis was in the discussion of elite players, but he did enjoy a career-year with the Washington Wizards this past season. Nevertheless, fans of a team linked with a trade for him don’t like the idea of bringing him on board.
On Saturday, NBA insider Evan Massey reported that the Wizards have had discussions with the Portland Trail Blazers involving Porzingis and the Trail Blazers’ No. 3 overall pick in next week’s NBA Draft.
Porzingis had a career-high 23.2 points per game in the 2022-23 season as well as the highest field goal and three-point percentages of his career.
But Trail Blazers fans are more than just reluctant to part with the third-overall pick to bring Porzingis into the fold. Wizards fans, on the other hand, would love the idea:
not for the pick, hell no. I’m fine with simons and nurk for KP

Portland should be fired if they trade #3 for a guy that got traded for dinwiddie a year ago

As a #Wizards fan, if they can get the #3 pick for KP and some bums, Christmas would come early.

Kristaps Porzingis was the No. 4 overall pick by the New York Knicks in the 2015 NBA Draft and made the All-Star Game in his third season.
But after missing the 2018-19 season with an ACL injury, he was traded to the Dallas Mavericks, where he played 134 games before being traded to the Wizards.
He’s still only 27 years old though, and by the looks of things he’s still finding ways to improve his game year after year.
What do you think would be an appropriate trade for Kristaps Porzingis if the Trail Blazers want him?
