Longtime NBA star Kemba Walker will be playing basketball this year, but not in the league.
Walker, one of the best point guards in college hoops history and an All-Star for the Hornets, will be playing overseas.
The former UConn Huskies star has landed with AS Monaco in France.
“AS Monaco has signed Kemba Walker, the team announced Friday, as the four-time NBA All-Star makes the leap to play in Europe for the first time,” ESPN reported.
“Monaco signed Walker to a one-year contract.”
NBA fans are saddened to see the former star now playing overseas.
“Sad how Kemba went from an All star to overseas player,” one fan wrote.

Not everyone feels that way, though.
“A kid from the Bronx has career earnings of approximately 200 million, was consistently among the top 100 players in the world before injury & will now play basketball in Monaco. This is NOT sad,” Fran Fraschilla wrote.
“Gets to make 7 figures and live in one of the most beautiful places in the world. If that’s sad then all of us must be miserable,” one fan added.
“He’s living and working in Monaco? Traveling around Europe to play a game and earn a living? Maybe see some sights while he’s there. Sign me up!” one fan added.
