After spending last season playing basketball in China, 7-foot-6 center Tacko Fall is back in the United States hoping to earn his way onto an NBA roster. But fans are more intrigued by his free throw form than his NBA roster chances.

Fall is with the Milwaukee Bucks for the Summer League and during a recent game he went to the free throw line, where he quickly got fans talking

When he made his free throw attempt, he flicked the ball forward while standing straight rather than doing the more traditional bend and release method. For a moment it also looked like he simply stopped and started mid-attempt.

Fall’s free throw attempt failed though. Fans were so surprised by the unique form that they seemed to collectively gasp. The jokes quickly ensued:

Tacko Fall has had a hard time finding success or even playing time in the NBA. He had a couple of good moments during his first two years with the Boston Celtics and even started a game in the 2021-22 season with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

But it seems safe to say that the former G League blocks leader is still going to have a devil of a time making another NBA roster.

Was this the strangest free throw form you’ve ever seen?
