It finally happened as expected.
The San Antonio Spurs drafted French phenom Victor Wembanyama with the No.1 overall pick in the 2023 Draft.
The 19-year-old is the Spurs’ third No.1 draft pick in history after Hall of Famers Tim Duncan and David Robinson.
The attention is clearly on Wembanyama, as expected, and with that, he named his ideal starting five: Stephen Curry, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Tim Duncan, and Shaquille O’Neal.

Despite what fans believe on social media, this is an excellent list. Curry is the greatest shooter of all time. Jordan and James are considered the Greatest Players of All-Time. Duncan and O’Neal were two of the most dominant players in league history.
No matter the talent level, it would be hard for anyone to defeat this starting five.
So Wembanyama deserves praise for his list.
