The Charlotte Hornets have officially been sold, even though one team isn’t a fan of the sale.
The NBA’s board of governors has officially approved the sale to a group led by Rick Schnall and Gabe Plotkin. This will end Michael Jordan’s 13-year run as owner.
29 of the 30 teams approved the sale, with the lone exception being New York Knicks owner James Dolan.
ESPN Sources: The BOG vote was 29-1 to approve the sale. Knicks owner James Dolan registered the lone vote against.

The sale is expected to be finalized in the next one or two weeks at $3 billion.
It’s about to be a new era in Charlotte after the Hornets went 27-55 this past season. They’ll be hoping that Brandon Miller, who was picked second overall in the NBA Draft, can get them back on track this upcoming season.
