The NBA has issued a warning to Damian Lillard and his agent, Aaron Goodwin.
Earlier this offseason, Goodwin reportedly expressed the fact that Lillard only wants to be traded to the Miami Heat. For obvious reasons, the league was not happy about this blatant request.
The NBA recently sent a letter to all 30 teams saying Lillard and Goodwin could be subject to discipline if they continue making comments like this. Any similar comments from any other players or agents are subject to the same potential punishments as well.
In this memo, the NBA said that Goodwin denied telling teams that Lillard only wants to play for Miami.

Lillard requested a trade away from his longtime Portland Trail Blazers organization three weeks ago. Since then, there’s been plenty of smoke about a potential move to Miami — but nothing solid has materialized.
It’s pretty clear that Lillard hopes to wear a Heat uniform next season. But from now on, he’ll have to keep that information to himself.
