The Nets Big 3 era ended about as fast as it came together.
With Brooklyn officially closing the chapter on the Kyrie Irving-Kevin Durant experiment, James Harden offered his thoughts on the situation this weekend. Saying via ESPN’s Nick Friedell:
I don’t look like the crazy one. I don’t look like the guy or the quitter or whatever the media want to call me. I knew what was going on and I just decided to… hey, I’m not built for this. I don’t want to deal with that. I want to play basketball and have fun.
The NBA world reacted to Harden’s statements on Twitter.
“Harden was never wrong. He just peeped the nonsense earlier [than] most then dipped. I would’ve done the same,” a fan replied.
“Now I need KD’s thoughts because why is Kyrie and Harden’s answer the same,” another said.
“You lock Harden and Kyrie in a room and only one coming out alive.”
“Serial loser,” a user commented.
“Nice shot at Kyrie from Harden here. And yes James you still quit on the team at that time,” another tweeted.
Messy stuff out of Brooklyn.
