As the Lakers season teeters on the brink, ESPN’s Brian Windhorst reported some pretty huge news regarding free agent to-be Kyrie Irving on Sunday.

Per the NBA insider, the Lakers would be able to sign Irving and retain star role player Austin Reaves. Saying, “The way this series is ending the more likely it becomes… Kyrie is ready to come to the Lakers.”

The NBA world reacted to the Windy’s update on social media.

“Please tired of DLo,” a fan replied.

“I think Pelinka will take a hard look at it after how Russell played this series,” a user said. “The Lakers could also use that top guy you can just give the ball to and go get a bucket in pressure moments. Just would be a high risk, high reward move.”

“Sigh stop it with these rumors man they’re not getting Kyrie,” another tweeted.

“Windy getting ahead of the ‘not enough help’ agenda before the series is over can’t say that I’m surprised.”

In 60 games this season, Irving averaged 27.1 points per game to go along with 5.5 assists and 5.1 boards.
