Jimmy Butler may be in the midst of one of the best playoff runs in recent memory, but even he isn’t immune to discipline from the NBA.
Butler did not appear for media availability after the Heat’s blowout win over the Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Miami star was fined $25,000 by the NBA for “violating league rules governing media interview access,” according to a statement from the league.
The NBA world is reacting to Butler’s fine stemming from his no-show with the media following Game 3.
“$25k to Jimmy Butler’s contract is like $60 to my salary and yeah sure I would pay $60 to get out of a work meeting that I absolutely did not want to go to,” said one fan.

“Ridiculous that he got off with this slap on the wrist and not having to forfeit the series like is justified,” another fan joked.

The Heat are one win away from defeating the Boston Celtics and advancing to the NBA Finals. They would be the first No. 8 seed to make it to the Finals since the New York Knicks did it in 1999 – to date, the only No. 8 seed to ever make it that far.
