NBA World Shocked By P.J. Tucker's Performance On Sunday

The Philadelphia 76ers led the Boston Celtics by six after the first quarter, thanks in large part to P.J. Tucker.

Tucker, who averaged less than four points per game in the regular season and scored just 31 total points in the first six games of this series, dropped 11 in the opening stanza this afternoon.

The veteran forward connected on 4-of-6 field goals, including 3-of-5 from long range. Tucker helped Philly build a 29-23 lead after 12 minutes.

Tucker’s unlikely start certainly got the attention of the basketball world.

“PJ Tucker scored 11 points in the first quarter. His previous game high during this year’s playoffs was 9 points,” noted The Sporting News.
