It’s always a treat to see what the royal family choose to wear over the festive period. From Kate Middleton’s elegant coat dresses to the Queen’s bright matching co-ords, it hardly feels like Christmas Day without a festive royal appearance.
Sadly, the Queen has had to cancel the Sandringham festivities for the second year in a row due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. The last time we saw a royal Christmas gathering in Sandringham was in 2019, when Kate Middleton, Prince William, Prince George and Princess Charlotte appeared for the first time as a four (Prince Louis was too small to join them).
In 2018, before they stepped down as members of the Royal Family, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle appeared alongside William and Kate in the most elegant ensembles – it was Meghan’s first Christmas as the Duchess of Sussex but not her first time joining the royals. In 2017, just weeks after they announced their engagement, Meghan was invited to spend Christmas up at Queen’s Norfolk estate, joining the Windsors for their annual Christmas Day service at St. Mary Magdalene.
