Netflix Sets Date For New Big Pokémon Series, Pokemon Concierge

Netflix is set to unveil its latest addition to the Pokémon franchise, dubbed Pokémon Concierge. This unveiling is part of a larger trend where iconic video games are transcending their original media format. Pokémon has been a pioneer of this trend. They created an animated series out of their successful Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue games.

Netflix first dabbled with Pokémon back in 2019. They released the reimagined 1999 classic Pokemon: Mewtwo Strikes Back – Evolution. However, this time around, Netflix is treading new waters by bringing fresh stories from this beloved universe to our screens​.

Anime aficionados can mark July 1st in their calendar. They will be treated to a sneak peek of Pokémon Concierge at the Anime Expo 2023 in Japan. There’s a live-action Pokémon series in early development, helmed by Joe Henderson, co-showrunner of Lucifer.
