In things that make us go “hmmm,” news, it looks like we’re getting something from Penn Badgley’s You today. Netflix’s official Twitter account hinted as much above, in the caption for a motion graphic showing a man (who is probably meant to be Badgley’s Joe Goldberg, pouring a spot of tea. Except, of course, that tea is blood.

“What about surprises?” you might ask. Well, some Sandman fans (opens in new tab) are hoping that we’ll get a season 2 announcement.

Meanwhile, fans of the since-canceled First Kill mobilized around #SaveFirstKill (opens in new tab), and we bet they’ll be in force in the comments on YouTube.

Tudum, much like Netflix itself, is a worldwide affair. That’s why they presented a 26-plus minute presentation to fans in India. This section of Tudum broke news that Netflix is making an Indian version of Elite, its popular Spanish teen drama. It also teased Bollywood director Vasan Bala’s upcoming film Monica, O My Darling.

While we hope for Bridgerton season 3 news at Tudum, Netflix is also giving us some adjacent Bridgerton universe news. The above photo is our first look at Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a prequel limited series. Here, we see series star Golda Rosheuvel as Queen Charlotte. Other actors reprising their roles include Adjoa Andoh as Lady Agatha Danbury and Ruth Gemmell as Lady Violet Bridgerton.

The logline for the show states that it “this Bridgerton-verse prequel” is “Centered on Queen Charlotte’s rise to prominence and power,” and “tells the story of how the young Queen’s marriage to King George sparked both a great love story and a societal shift, creating the world of the Ton inherited by the characters in Bridgerton.”

The below new cast members were also included in the announcement:

  • India Amarteifio (Line of Duty) as Young Queen Charlotte
  • Michelle Fairley (Gangs of London) as Princess Augusta
  • Corey Mylchreest (The Sandman) as Young King George
  • Arsema Thomas as Young Agatha Danbury
  • Sam Clemmett (Harry Potter and the Cursed Child – West End and Broadway, The War Below) as Young Brimsley
  • Freddie Dennis (The Nevers) as Reynolds
  • Richard Cunningham (The Witcher) as Lord Bute
  • Tunji Kasim (Nancy Drew) as Adolphus
  • Rob Maloney (Casualty) as the Royal Doctor
  • Cyril Nri (Cucumber) as Lord Danbury
  • Hugh Sachs (Bridgerton Seasons 1 & 2) as Brimsley (older)

Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, holding an umbrella in pouring rain, in key art for Netflix's Wednesday.

Tudum will give us a new clip from the Addams Family series Wednesday, presented by Jenna Ortega, the actress taking on the iconic goth girl character made famous by Christina Ricci. Yesterday, though, Netflix provided a Nov. 23 release date, and the above poster for the show.

Netflix also released this quote from Ortega about her character: “Wednesday is currently a teenager, and we’ve never seen her as a teenager before. Her snarky, snide remarks might not necessarily sound as charming when they’re coming from somebody who should probably know better than a 10-year-old girl. That was a balancing act. We didn’t want to make her sound like every other teenage girl, but we also didn’t want to make her too ignorant. And we’ve never seen her on screen this much. Any other time you’ve seen Wednesday, she’s been the one-liner, the end of a joke, she always hits it, and I think that’s what people really love about her. But in this show, every scene is Wednesday. There’s an opportunity to give her a bit more dimension, and she becomes a bit more of a real person, which I don’t think we’ve ever seen before.”

The Korean section of Tudum also gave us our first look at the second batch of episodes from Money Heist: Korea – Joint Economic Area. The series, which is about another planned theft — this time at the Korean mint — takes place during a time where the two Koreas are supposed to be combined. But not all is well, as some see this as only benefitting the rich. This tense and violent clip is unnerving to say the least. Release date is TBA.

Hwang Dong-hyuk, the director of Squid Game, gave the Korean Tudum live stream one of the first big treats of the weekend. This above clip was a Squid Game deleted scene, and was to provide further confirmation of the Front Man’s mysterious identity — In-ho, the brother of detective Jun-ho. Here, he comes home to put a goldfish in a bowl, tying that metaphor full-circle.

Before he delivered that clip, though, Hwang Dong-hyuk thanked audiences for loving Squid Game, asked that we look forward to Squid Game season 2 and said (if the subtitles are to be taken literally) that the new season will be filled with “all-new stories.” That said, we do know that the new season won’t only feature new cast members, as he told the press (opens in new tab) at the Emmys that Seong Gi-hun will be seeking revenge in season 2.

Excited for the Wednesday Addams Netflix series? Then, we bet you’ll be happy to know that Jenna Ortega, who is playing Wednesday herself, will be at Tudum to debut a new clip from the series.

Henry Cavill as Geralt and Anya Chalotra as Yennefer in The Witcher on Netflix

In The Witcher news, we’re going to see Geralt of Rivia, as well as Yennefer of Vengerberg and Ciri as well. Henry Cavill is going to be on hand to deliver “some exciting news for The Witcher season 3” — which we really hope means a release date. A trailer would also be great.

And then we’ll get “a sneak peek behind the scenes with Anya Chalotra and Freya Allan.” That sounds like the women of The Witcher will not be at Tudum, but rather will be the tour guides of footage that Cavill throws to.

Netflix may get a bad rap for all of the canceled Netflix shows, but it still saves some beloved series that get axed elsewhere. Such is the case with Manifest season 4. And at Tudum, we’ll see the first trailer from the series that tracks the survivors of the mysterious Montego Air Flight 828 that disappeared for 5.5 years. Leads Melissa Roxburgh and Josh Dallas will present.

Daniel Craig as Benoit Blanc in Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

Get ready for more reason to be frothing at the mouth over Knives Out 2. At Tudum, director Rian Johnson will deliver the first look at a new clip from Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery. In this sequel, Edward Norton plays rich tech exec Miles Bron, who invites a bunch of his friends (played by the likes of Dave Bautista, Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr. and Kate Hudson) to his private island in Greece.

Elliot Page as Viktor in Umbrella Academy

Don’t go into Tudum expecting any big news about The Umbrella Academy season 4. All Netflix has promised is that the cast will share (and watch) “hilarious” outtakes of themselves from the filming of Season 3. Netflix already green-lit TUAS4, so that rules that news out.

At this point, we only know that season 4 of Umbrella Academy will be the Hargreeves sibs’ final run on Netflix. So, maybe a tease of what awaits them would be great.

Sadie Sink as Max Mayfield in STRANGER THINGS 4

Yes, the Stranger Things cast will be on hand, but don’t get your hopes up about Stranger Things season 5 news. Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Sadie Sink, Priah Ferguson, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, David Harbour and — yes, we are giddy about this one — Joseph Quinn will be on hand to answer “fan trivia questions and share bloopers from filming season four.” Maybe, just maybe, we’ll get a conclusive answer on if Eddie Munson is or isn’t coming back.

(L to R) RUDY PANKOW as JJ, CHASE STOKES as JOHN B, MADELYN CLINE as SARAH CAMERON, and MADISON BAILEY as KIARA in episode 208 of OUTER BANKS

(Image credit: Jackson Lee Davis / Netflix)

So what do we know? Well, Outer Banks fans will have reason to rejoice, as they’re getting a sneak preview of Outer Banks season 3 at Tudum. And not only will Tudum stream the first teaser trailer for the new season, but cast members Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Rudy Pankow, Carlacia Grant and Drew Starkey will present said clip.

Hopefully this sheds some light on how the Pogues’ quest to nab the golden cross is going on that deserted island. Ward’s still injured, and Carla Limbrey’s looking for Big John’s help in finding the shroud.
