Netflix’s Beef Trailer Ignites a Bitter Feud Between Steven Yeun and Ali Wong

Netflix has just served up the trailer for the limited series Beef. From acclaimed studio A24 (The Whale, Everything Everywhere All at Once), the series picks up with a road rage incident igniting a feud between two strangers, played by Steven Yeun and Ali Wong. Consisting of 10 episodes, the series is set to hit Netflix on April 6, 2023. You can get a sneak peek at the show by watching the new trailer below.


The official key art has also been released for Beef, further teasing the quarrel between the series leads. The artwork features Yeun and Wong facing off with their bodies giving one another the bird. It teases the dark comedy nature of the series, and you can view the key art below.

In Beef, Yeun plays Danny Cho, a failing contractor who already has a chip on his shoulder when he’s involved in an accident with Amy Lau, a “self-made entrepeneur with a picturesque life” played by Wong. Per Netflix, the “increasing stakes of their feud unravel their lives and relationships in this darkly comedic and deeply moving series.”

Beef stars Steven Yeun (Minari, Nope, The Walking Dead) and Ali Wong (Always Be My Baby, Baby Cobra, Hard Knock Wife, Tuca & Bertie). Also starring in the show are Joseph Lee (Searching), Young Mazino (Prodigal Son), David Choe (The Mandalorian), and Patti Yasutake (The Closer). Rounding out the cast are Maria Bello (NCIS), Ashley Park (Emily in Paris), Justin H. Min (After Yang), Mia Serafino (iCarly), and Remy Holt (1923).

The series is created by Lee Sung Jin (Dave, Silicon Valley), who serves as showrunner. Jin also executive produces alongside series stars Yeun, Wong, and director Jake Schreirer.

Sung Jin has said of the series, “Ali Wong, Steven Yeun, A24, and Netflix. It’s a dream team, and I’m honored to be collaborating with them. I’m also grateful to the guy who yelled at me in traffic three years ago. I did not let it go, and now we have a show.”

“We are incredibly excited to collaborate with Lee Sung Jin and help bring this rich series to life along with the inimitable Steven Yeun and Ali Wong,” added Netflix’s VP of Drama Development for Original Series, Jinny Howe. “Sung Jin has created a bold and at times outrageous world. It is an honest and powerful character study of two people who go about searching for connection in the unlikeliest of ways.”
