Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania is now available as a digital release, and Marvel Studios celebrates it with a new look at a deleted scene from their latest blockbuster and a special feature that dives deep into Paul Rudd’s Scott Lang and Kathryn Newton’s Cassie’s relationship.
Released on February 18th, the film finds the character played by Rudd turned into a celebrity, beyond his role as a hero, as a podcast host and influencer, which has caused his ego to overcome him. But as he gets comfortable with this new phase of his life, his daughter accidentally drags him and the rest of the family into the Quantum Realm.
Once they’re all there, they will have to find a way home and also help the beings living there to deal with a big threat known as Kang the Conqueror, played by Jonathan Majors, who will be the next big bad in the upcoming phases of the MCU. To celebrate the digital release of the film, Disney has shared a special look at a deleted scene that has David Dastmalchian as the main star
The actor played Scott’s friend Kurt in the first 2 movies, but now he took a shot at motion capture technique by playing Oozy Veb, who ends up being a powerful force in the battle against Kang.
Scott and Cassie Are the Heat of Ant-Man and the Wasp Quantumania
Even when Ant-Man 3 has the main objective of introducing Kang’s journey for the future of the franchise, at the end of the day it’s just a story about family. And particularly about a father trying to reconnect and recover lost time with his daughter.
Kathryn Newton takes the place of Emma Fuhrmann, who played Cassie in Avengers: Endgame, to give the audience a deeper look into the character who will have a much bigger role in the future, probably as a member of the Young Avengers.
Such as Jeremy Renner did with Hailee Steinlfeld’s Kate Bishop in Hawkeye, Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania dives deep into the mentor and apprentice relationship so that Scott can prepare her for her own adventures.
In the latest special feature released by Disney, Paul Rudd and Kathryn Newton explain the importance of their character’s bond for the film:
No confirmation has been given about a future Young Avengers project for the MCU, but there’s no doubt this is just the beginning for Newton in the franchise, and fans can expect to see her soon fighting against the Avengers in The Kang Dynasty, when past and future heroes will join forces against the titular villain.
Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania is available to buy at Digital retailers on April 18, and arrives on 4K Ultra HD™, Blu-ray™ and DVD on May 16.
