New Signalis Gameplay Trailer Is A Spooky Dive Into Cosmic Terror

0

Ahead of its launch later this month, a new gameplay trailer for the indie-horror game Signalis has gone live. Designed to offer a classic horror experience, Signalis is set in a dystopian future where humanity has uncovered a dark cosmic secret and things have (naturally) gone horribly wrong.

A love letter to the classics of PS1-era survival-horror games such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill, you’ll need to preserve resources while deciding on a flight-or-fight response to the dangers that lie ahead of you.

As the technician Elster, you’ll have to survive the psychological horror that awaits you on a strange planet, face off against terrifying creatures, and solve challenging puzzles while searching for answers. As she descends deeper into the planet’s facilities and the mines, Elster encounters another survivor with a dark agenda, strange memories from another life, and horrifying bureaucratic safeguards in a world that will appeal to fans of the cassette futurism art movement.

Signalis launches on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Switch on October 27, and will also be available through Game Pass.

If that’s not enough horror for you, the next couple of months look ready to shock you with two more dives into deep space terror. The Callisto Protocol launches on December 2 for PC and console, and next year you can jump into a remake of 2008’s Dead Space.
