There’s a new sushi restaurant in Concord.
BK Miyabi, which offers sushi and Japanese fare, opened about three weeks ago, according to server Natalie Hoong. The most popular appetizers so far are the chicken karaage and oyster half shells, and the Miyabi and Godzilla roll are proving the most popular sushi rolls. The Miyabi roll is made with shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, barbecued eel, chopped tuna, garlic, tobiko, micro sprouts and sauce ($19), while the Godzilla includes shrimp tempura, barbecued eel, avocado, spicy tuna and cucumber ($18), she says.
The menu also offers a wide range of sashimi, maki, temaki and nigiri. For those who prefer cooked options, the restaurant also offers bento boxes and cooked rolls, grilled meat dishes, udon and ramen options and more.
There’s also an extensive vegetarian selection including a tempura sweet potato roll ($8); a pumpkin roll ($8) made with fried pumpkin and unagi sauce; a veggie tiger roll ($13) made with tempura pumpkin, asparagus, avocado and vegan sauce; and a mango secret roll ($14), made with mango, mango sauce, tempura sweet potato, avocado and unagi sauce.
BK Miyabi is open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for lunch and 5 to 10 p.m. for dinner daily except Tuesdays. Find the restaurant at 1950B Grant St. in Concord (925-822-3328) and its sister restaurant, BF Miyabi, in Roseville; www.bfmiyabisushi.com.
