New The Cube attraction opens in the UK so you can play the ITV show games

A NEW attraction in the UK is opening which will let you play games from the ITV show The Cube.

The Cube Live is part of the huge Urban Playground entertainment complex in Manchester.

To play, teams of up to four will work through the tasks which are inside the perspex boxes, just like in the show.

Host Phillip Schofield greets guests from a video screen while entering.

Guests will have to work by themselves or as a team to solve seven games to get to the end.

According to Manchester Evening News, some of the games include climbing over laser beams while blindfolded, moving balls from one end to the other at speed and trying to remember specific paths to walk through.

Don’t expect to win though, as only person has ever “beaten The Cube” – which is Sir Mo Farah.

The website says: “Gone are the days of enjoying THE CUBE from the comfort of your sofa. Now the award-winning hit show has left the studio and for the first time ever YOU can take it on.

“THE CUBE Live will feature many of your favourite games from the original TV series to keep you on your toes. In teams of up to four THE CUBE will choose seven iconic games, both single and two player, for you and your team-mates to play.

“You will have to overcome extreme nerves and intense pressure as you take on the deceptively simple tasks. Do you have what it takes to beat the mighty CUBE?”

Opening from February 10, tickets start from £30 which can be booked now, with the attraction lasting around 1.5 hours.

There is also an on-site bar where you can order a cocktail which watching people try and take on The Cube.

If you don’t fancy it, there are other things to do at the Urban Playground which includes crazy golf and the first UK branch of burger bar The Butcher.

There are also some other exciting attractions in the UK to try this year.

A new Tomb Raider attraction is coming to London next year, with timed challenges and missions to solve.

The interactive experience has been created by the same team behind The Crystal Maze LIVE Experience in London and Manchester.

Film fans might want to stick around in London, as a new Harry Potter attraction is opening at Warner Bros Studio Tour.

And fans of the small screen can visit the new Game of Throne Studio Tour which has opened.
