Billionaire Sir Richard Branson allowed the world in on his new private island Moskito in late 2021 by making three estates available to rent through the Virgin Limited Edition portfolio. But, a new out-of-this-world retreat just hit the rental pool and is entirely different from the current offerings on the island. Think hidden DJ booths and cliffside glass-bottom hot tubs.
The Village Estate, situated on the furthest western tip of the island, is a whopping 18,100 square and features a very modern design compared to the other estates on the island. Nine comfortable bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, private living room space, and terraces or patios are available for up to 18 guests and feature stunning sea views across to Virgin Gorda. And those serene retreats will be needed as most of the home’s common areas are ready for the ultimate party vacation.
You’ll find quirky amenities throughout the futuristic property, like a hidden DJ booth that rises from the outdoor deck. That deck and DJ booth overlook a two-story infinity pool while the cantilevered glass-bottom hot tub extends over the cliff edge (a feature available in 2023). Then, there is a slide that wraps around the edge of the estate and an advanced lighting and sound system wired throughout the 3.5-acre estate to ensure party time is always possible.
Of course, that’s not all. Guests have a communal bar and a spiral staircase that leads to the estate’s rooftop. That staircase is wrapped with audio-synced LED lighting, so the lights change with the beat of the music that plays through a stadium-quality sound system. Meanwhile, the Main and Dining Pavilion flank either side of the multi-level infinity-edge pool with a swim-up bar and submerged dry lounge complete with a sunken fire pit. Another pool leads to the Master Suite, which boasts a 360-degree wrap-around terrace.
And don’t forget the state-of-the-art onsite gym, movie theater, pizza oven, and organic kitchen garden that a dedicated chef uses to make your meals.
“A decade in the making, The Village Estate takes luxury to new heights, much like its sister estates, with an impressively striking design, state-of-the-art creative amenities, and unspoiled panoramic views in the most private of settings,” Jon Brown, Managing Director at Virgin Limited Edition, said in a statement. “Moskito Island knows no limit when providing incomparable, luxurious moments, and adding The Village to our collection further amplifies our position as luxury leaders in the Caribbean.”
The Village joins the three other lavish estates that debuted on Moskito last year—The Branson Estate (owned by Sir Richard Branson), The Oasis Estate, and The Point Estate.
Brown added, “Since our anticipated opening late last year, we’ve humbly been celebrated on the world stage for delivering an exceptional and extremely unique hospitality experience in the Caribbean that goes beyond the realms of traditional luxury. The debut of The Village is the next phase in the continuous evolution of Moskito Island – a private island escape unlike any other.”
The Village is available for exclusive buyout only with rates starting from $19,000 per night for up to 18 guests. The rate includes a dedicated estate manager, a team of staff, private chefs, all meals, drinks, non-motorized watersports, and a personalized itinerary.
