Volkswagen Australia has added another model to its free servicing initiative, aimed to offset supply chain and logistics-related cost increases currently being passed on to customers.

The Tiguan Allspace 132TSI Life is now available with a complimentary and transferable three-year or 45,000km servicing plan that’s usually worth $1650. It’s also being priced at $49,990 drive-away.

Both of these offers are available on Tiguan Allspace 132TSI Life models purchased before March 31.

This bolsters the existing complimentary five-year or 75,000km servicing plan offer available with the Passat wagon, Passat Alltrack, Arteon and Touareg. This offer has been extended to the March 31 cut-off date too.

Based on Volkswagen’s service car plan prices, purchasers of these models reduce their ownership costs by between $2400 and $3600, depending on the model.

Volkswagen notes that all these models, including the Tiguan Allspace 132TSI Life, are available for immediate delivery.

As recently reported, Volkswagen increased the prices on the majority of its passenger and commercial vehicles as of January 1, 2023.

Before on-road costs increased by between $240 and $1500, with shipping costs being cited as a factor.

“Shippings costs certainly aren’t diminishing. For as long as possible we shielded customers from associated price rises,” said a Volkswagen Australia spokesperson.

“We do not allow orders made prior to the designated increase date to be subject to an extra impost.”
