“I think a lot of people probably don’t like the fact that Newcastle are challenging at the top end of the Premier League, they don’t like the fact that Newcastle’s going to the Champions League and they probably feel that they’ve got to take it out on someone and they take it out on me.
“But I take it with a pinch of salt, I’ve got thick skin, I laugh at a lot of the things that get said and what gets sent to me makes me laugh. But I’ve also got to compliment the Newcastle fans because during that they’ve been incredible, they’ve shown me a lot of love, and I thank them for that.”
Howe was asked about Tindall earlier this month and also admitted he has spent time laughing at the posts. He said: “It’s a funny one. I’ve spent the last 30 minutes laughing with him about things he’s been sent.
“It’s crazy how social media can create these things. I’ve heard he gets called ‘Mad Dog’ and I’ve started calling him it too.”
