How could the final three weeks of the NFL regular season be any better than what just happened?
Sunday marked just the second day in NFL history that three games ended on walk-off touchdowns — two of which, remarkably, were scored by defenses. Saturday featured the biggest comeback in NFL history. Combine the two days, and it was the first time in NFL history that three teams rallied from deficits of at least 17 points to win in the same week.
Stay tuned for what craziness happens next.
Here are The Post’s NFL power rankings for Week 16:
1. Philadelphia Eagles 13-1 (1)
None of Jalen Hurts’ runs were as dazzling as Justin Fields’ 39-yarder, but Hurts ran for three touchdowns in a battle of dual-threat quarterbacks as the Eagles held off the Bears, 25-20. Hurts is one shy of Cam Newton’s single-season record of 14 rushing quarterbacks by a quarterback. DeVonta Smith and A.J. Brown combined for 307 receiving yards.
2. Buffalo Bills 11-3 (2)
With snow coming down, the Bills scored the final 11 points of a 32-29 victory against the Dolphins. Tyler Bass’ walk-off 25-yard field goal clinched the Bills’ fourth straight playoff berth and avenged an earlier loss. Josh Allen threw four touchdown passes and dove into a mid-air collision for a tying two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.
3. Cincinnati Bengals 10-4 (4)
Not only did the Bengals erase a 17-point deficit, they turned it into a 17-point lead by reeling off 34 straight points in an eventual 34-23 win against the Buccaneers to move into the AFC North lead. Joe Burrow threw four touchdown passes to four different receivers to hand Tom Brady his largest blown lead ever in a home game.
4. Kansas City Chiefs 11-3 (5)
The sleepwalking Chiefs avoided coughing up the AFC’s No. 1 seed and what would have been an inexplicable loss to the Texans. After missing a field goal at the end of regulation and punting on their first overtime possession, the Chiefs forced a turnover and Jerick McKinnon rushed for a 26-yard touchdown in a 30-24 victory that clinched the AFC West.
5. San Francisco 49ers 10-4 (6)
It looked like the 49ers might have to turn to their fourth-string quarterback, but injured third-stringer-turned-starter Brock Purdy (oblique) played. He delivered 11 straight completions to open the game and two total touchdown passes in a 21-13 win against the Seahawks to clinch the NFC West. Christian McCaffrey ran for 108 yards, and George Kittle added 93 through the air.
6. Dallas Cowboys (3) 10-4
One snap after analytics said they had a 60 percent chance to top the Jaguars, the Cowboys were losers, 40-34, in overtime. Rayshawn Jenkins returned an interception for a touchdown for a stunning finish. Noah Brown caught two touchdown passes and was the intended target on the fateful turnover. A playoff spot was still clinched despite blowing a 17-point second-half lead.
7. Minnesota Vikings 11-3 (8)
Frauds? Nope. The Vikings rallied for the biggest comeback in NFL history to beat the Colts, 39-36, in overtime after trailing 33-0 at halftime. Kirk Cousins threw for 460 yards and four touchdowns. The Vikings are the third team ever with 10 wins by eight points or fewer in a season. Greg Joseph’s 40-yard field goal as time expired clinched the NFC North.
8. Los Angeles Chargers 8-6 (11)
Justin Herbert led a six-play, 52-yard drive in the final minute to set up Cameron Dicker’s game-winning 43-yard field goal in a 17-14 win against the Titans. His 35-yard completion between two defenders made up for just the third game of his career without throwing a touchdown pass. Austin Ekeler scored his AFC-leading 14th touchdown.
9. Miami Dolphins 8-6 (9)
Speed still kills in the snow — a good sign for road playoff games — as both Jaylen Waddle and Tyreek Hill scored touchdowns against the Bills. But the defense allowed a touchdown on the final play of the first half and two scores on the final drives of the game, sending the Dolphins to a third straight loss.
10. Baltimore Ravens 9-5 (7)
Hurry back, Lamar Jackson. One year after an injury to Jackson caused the Ravens to collapse in December, Jackson missed his second straight start due to a different injury, and so the Tyler Huntley-led sputtering offense didn’t score a touchdown in a 13-3 loss to the Browns. Near-automatic kicker Justin Tucker missed twice.
11. Detroit Lions 7-7 (15)
12. New York Giants 8-5-1 (16)
In throwback Giants-Washington fashion, defense set the tone. Kayvon Thibodeaux’s sack-fumble-touchdown trifecta changed the lead, and three fourth-quarter red-zone stands (three total points allowed) finished off a 20-12 victory. A resurgent Saquon Barkley totaled 120 yards from scrimmage and a touchdown to put the Giants on the cusp of their first playoff berth since 2016.
13. Tennessee Titans 7-7 (12)
14. Washington Commanders 7-6-1 (10)
15. Seattle Seahawks 7-7 (13)
16. New England Patriots 7-7 (14)
17. New York Jets 7-7 (17)
What a gut punch. After playing nearly flawless all game, the defense allowed a 51-yard touchdown on a fourth-and-1 with less than two minutes remaining in a 20-17 loss to the Lions. Greg Zuerlein missed a 58-yard field goal as time expired. Zach Wilson threw for 317 yards and two touchdowns but had a costly interception in his return.
18. Jacksonville Jaguars 6-8 (20)
19. Pittsburgh Steelers 6-8 (19)
20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 6-8 (18)
21. Cleveland Browns 6-8 (24)
22. Las Vegas Raiders 6-8 (27)
23. Green Bay Packers 6-8 (23)
24. Carolina Panthers 5-9 (21)
25. New Orleans Saints 5-9 (29)
26. Los Angeles Rams 4-10 (26)
27. Atlanta Falcons 5-9 (22)
28. Indianapolis Colts 4-9-1 (28)
29. Denver Broncos 4-10 (31)
30. Arizona Cardinals 4-10 (25)
31. Chicago Bears 3-11 (30)
32. Houston Texans 1-12-1 (32)
