Alicia Witt and Blair Underwood are joining Nicolas Cage for the upcoming horror-thriller Longlegs, Deadline reports. The film also stars Maika Monroe, whose addition to the film was announced last month. Expectations will be high for the film, as it is written and directed by Osgood “Oz” Perkins, who was behind the positively received supernatural horror The Blackcoat’s Daughter.
Although plot details are being kept largely under wraps, Longlegs will follow the story of new FBI agent Lee Harker (Monroe), as she works on the case of an elusive serial killer (portrayed by Cage). As she investigates the unsolved crimes, Harker discovers a personal connection to the killer. Details regarding Witt and Underwood’s roles have not been released.
Longlegs was announced late last year, with news of Cage both starring in and producing the film. The film is also produced by C2 Motion Picture Group, Dan Kagan, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, Dave Caplan, and Chris Ferguson. Jason Cloth, Fred Berger, and John Friedberg executive produce. Longlegs is currently in production in Vancouver.
