Night of Champions 2023: Roman Reigns officially added to Saudi Arabia WWE PLE

Generally, superstars from the past and marquee attractions from the current rosters are booked for this kind of huge event. Henceforth, the current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns is confirmed to make an appearance on the show.

Amid his ongoing hiatus, there had been uncertainties over Roman Reigns’ next title defense, especially considering that last year, he dodged three consecutive PLEs to return in action at SummerSlam, four months after WrestleMania 38.

However, WWE’s official website has now included The Tribal Chief on their page for Night of Champions. Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, WWE United States Champion Austin Theory, WWE Intercontinental Champion Gunther, and WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley are also being advertised.

Night of the Champions is scheduled for Saturday, May 27 from the Jeddah Superdome in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A new World Heavyweight Champion will be crowned during the event, possibly via a tournament that should be in progress on the red brand in due course.

Interestingly, Roman Reigns will complete 1000 days as the champion on that same day which calls for a massive celebration in Saudi Arabia. Plus, he’s expected to go through another title defense at the PLE, possibly against AJ Styles.

Xero News provided the spoiler of the upcoming undisputed title match but Ringside News later provided the rumour killer on the situation by informing that Reigns vs. Styles is “not even close to an accurate guess.”

In addition to Night of Champions, WWE’s official website is also advertising Roman Reigns for the annual Money in the Bank premium live event, which is set to take place on July 1 at the O2 Arena in London, England.

It’s worth noting that two more top names Charlotte Flair (Smackdown) and Drew McIntyre (Raw) have been removed from the advertised superstars’ list for the event, indicating that their ongoing hiatus will be extended.

Apart from the champion, the likes of Cody Rhodes, Becky Lynch, and Seth Rollins are also being advertised, at one point. it should be reminded that the card is always subject to a change for a WWE event depending on a superstar’s availability.

A month later after MITB, SummerSlam 2023 will emanate from the Detroit Field on August 5 and it’s safe to say that WWE’s Head of the Table will also be on board for that PLE night since it’s the biggest event of the summer.
