Nike is sticking by Ja Morant despite his lengthy NBA suspension heading into the 2023-24 season.
Morant was hit with a 25-game minimum suspension for his off-the-court behavior, highlighted by some troubling gun videos.
Despite the suspension, Nike is sticking with Morant.
“We are pleased that Ja is taking accountability and prioritizing his well-being,” Nike said in a statement. “We will continue to support him on and off the court.”
Morant received his first signature shoe with Nike last season.
He’s been a part of the company since 2019. Morant is a former No. 2 overall NBA Draft pick.
Morant has promised to do better following his suspension.
