Nikola Jokic is argably the best player in the NBA.
The Denver Nuggets star is a two-time MVP who just averaged 24.5 points, 11.8 rebounds, and 9.8 assists on 63.2 percent shooting from the field.
Jokic, 28, had another triple double in Game 1 victory against Miami Heat in NBA Finals.
Not many people expected Jokic, a 2014 second-round pick, to become what he is today.
While appearing on Showtime podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson, his agent discussed how Jokic was discovered in the first place.
“[Nikola Jokic] is the first and last player in the 27 year-old history of the agency that we sign him without anybody seeing him,” the agent said.
“Nikola Jokic’s agent discovered him in a Serbian newspaper and signed him without seeing him play.”

It’s rare for agencies to sign players without seeing them play, but it shows few people did see the potential in Jokic.
