Nikola Jokic’s post-championship attitude is something we’ve never really seen before.
The Denver Nuggets superstar has always brushed off individual accomplishments — and he furthered that reputation by “losing” his Finals MVP trophy after his team’s Game 5 win.
In an interview earlier this week, Jokic said he left the Bill Russell trophy in the Nuggets’ equipment room and doesn’t know where it ended up.
ESPN NBA reporter Malika Andrews has since provided an update on the trophy’s location.
“Rest assured, the Nuggets’ longtime equipment guru Sparky Gonzales has the trophy cleaned and detailed and it’s ready for Thursday’s parade,” Andrews wrote on Twitter.

Jokic’s Finals MVP win was well deserved. The Serbian superstar averaged 30.2 points, 14.0 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game through five contests against the Miami Heat in this year’s championship series.
Jokic and the rest of his Nuggets squad are currently celebrating their title at a championship parade in Denver.
