No Doubt frontwoman and multi-platinum pop star Gwen Stefani is returning home to her native Anaheim to help Honda Center celebrate its 30th anniversary.

Stefani is coming to the venue for a special one-night-only show on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Tickets start at $30 and go on sale to the general public at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22 at Ticketmaster.com. Honda Center and Live Nation presale tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 21. To sign up for the presale, go to hondacenter.com/encore-club. Stefani and Honda Center will be donating $2 from every ticket sold to Children’s Hospital Orange County (CHOC).

The venue, located off the 57 Freeway and Katella Ave., officially opened on June 17, 1993. Since then, hundreds of big-name artists have performed at the roughly 17,000-capacity arena including The Rolling Stones, Whitney Houston, Prince, Paul McCartney, Alan Jackson, Bruce Springsteen, David Bowie, Garth Brooks, Tina Turner, Pepe Aguilar and many, many more.

Stefani has a long history with the venue as well. Her ska and rock band No Doubt formed just a few miles away inside a garage, nestled in a neighborhood located in the shadow of Disneyland.

The band first played the arena back when it was known as The Arrowhead Pond in 1996, opening for rockers Bush and Goo Goo Dolls. No Doubt returned to headline two evenings at the venue just a year later, on May 31 and June 1, 1997 thanks to the success of its “Tragic Kingdom” album. The record spawned several hits including “Just a Girl,” “Don’t Speak,” “Spiderwebs” and “Sunday Morning.” No Doubt also filmed its “Live in the Tragic Kingdom” concert movie during those two sold out shows.

Stefani brought both of her solo tours to Honda Center as well, including the 2005 Harajuku Lovers Tour and the 2007 Sweet Escape Tour. In all, Stefani has performed on the Honda Center stage nine times.

This also isn’t the first time Stefani has been tapped to commemorate a major milestone in Orange County music history. She was also the final artist to perform at Irvine Meadows in Irvine, with two sold-out shows in October 2016 before the beloved venue was demolished.
