The 26-year-old, who has been ‘putting up’ with boyfriend Tom Holland’s haircut, was seen beating the hot Italian weather in a simple black tube top and cargo trousers, paired with black leather brogues and stylish sunnies.
Her stomach and shoulders were out as she visited a swanky restaurant in the Italian capital before being reportedly turned away.
However, the Golden Globe winner has since poked fun at the claims with a meme on her Instagram Stories in which someone asks ‘source?’ but is told: ‘I made it up.’
Darnell Appling, Zendaya’s personal assistant, was with her at the time and posted the claims on his Instagram Stories, calling it ‘a bald head lie’.
‘We never got denied anywhere,’ he said and added that the pair simply ‘wanted to try a new restaurant’ so left without going further than the lobby.
According to Darnell, the pair recognised the staircase in the restaurant as Zendaya had slipped on them during a trip last year, which the star laughed off at the time.
The Euphoria actress’ representatives told The Mirror: ‘They went to the restaurant and realised that they had eaten there before and decided to try a new restaurant instead. There was no dress code violation or any such thing.’
Darnell and Zendaya were recently out together for his birthday party, which was also attended by Timothée Chalamet as the stars became good friends while working on the sci-fi epic Dune.
A video of Timothée dancing in his Austin Reaves basketball top, baggy shorts and backward cap went viral while Zendaya’s coordinated moves and flattering white halterneck top impressed fans.
There are no rumours of a romance between the actors though as Timothée has been linked to Kylie Jenner and Zendaya has been happily coupled up with on-screen flame Tom for years.
Zendaya and Tom have been linked since 2016 when they starred together in Marvel’s Spiderman: Homecoming and fans saw instant sparks flying.
Later confirming the romance, the stars are still loved up with Zendaya sharing cute pictures of Tom from their holiday together with lots of heart emojis in honour of his 27th birthday.
He wrote: ‘Thank you for all the wonderful birthday messages. A gift from me to you. I thought I’d share possibly the sexiest picture ever taken of me! #sexyiestmanalive.’
