Following their debut collaboration last year, Copenhagen’s Norse Projects has reunited with L.A painter Geoff McFetridge for a second two-part collection.
Split into two parts, the wide-ranging collection consists of pieces which are influenced by years of being outside in varied conditions.
Designed to be worn multiple ways or even layered and combined in and out of the mountains, the first part, dubbed McTechridge, is made up of technical stretch nylon styles and vintage-inspired silhouettes that form the basis of an everyday wardrobe.
The second half spans everything from matching fishing vests and trousers to graphic T-shirts and caps, and is crafted from a rugged hardwearing twill and utilises CashPad®—an innovative alternative to synthetic insulations made from recycled cashmere and wool jumpers.
Discussing the inspiration behind the second collaboration, McFetridge said: “My last collection was very much about creating versatile pieces that were useful in the studio. With this collection, I was also interested in creating technical pieces that I could wear during outdoor activities. The past 20 years have been focused on my work as an artist, but looking back I see how being a dad and doing activities has been so important to create the balance I want in my life.”
He added that his “ideal conditions for creativity involve a mix of varied experiences and states of mind. I have found these states through surfing, trail running, cycling and skiing—experiences that always affect my time in the studio.”
