North Korea fired a ballistic missile Tuesday, Seoul’s military said, Pyongyang’s second launch in days, as South Korea and the United States conduct their largest joint military drills in five years.

“North Korea fires unidentified ballistic missile towards the East Sea,” the Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement, referring to the body of water also known as the Sea of Japan.
