As evident from the embedded tweet below, Nothing hasn’t really said much about the Ear (2) in terms of its hardware specs in its social media post. However, the photo does showcase a Rhinoceros Beetle pushing against a transparent case — possibly belonging to the Ear (2). This is also an indication that the Ear (2) will borrow several design cues from its predecessor and will persist with the same design philosophy that set the Ear (1) apart from the competition.
When (1) becomes (2).

On the landing page for the event live stream, Nothing claims that the Ear (2) will have “Better sound” and “Better clarity” compared to its predecessor. It is unclear what hardware changes will enable this improvement. Chances are, these could be made possible using better quality/larger drivers. If Nothing’s claims are true, the Ear (2) might become an excellent option for someone looking for a high-quality, feature-packed, unique-looking pair of wireless earbuds.
It remains to be seen if these improvements will also make the Ear Buds (2) more expensive when it launches in a few weeks. To give you some perspective, the original Earbuds (1) launched at $99. However, Nothing jacked up the prices to $149 a few months later, citing higher input costs. So chances are, the Nothing Ear (2) will almost certainly breach the $140 mark.
