Noughties pop icons Busted are bringing their reunion tour to Scotland as they celebrate the 20th anniversary of the group’s chart debut.

The tour will feature some of their biggest hits and fan-favourites, with new versions of 15 classic tracks to be released leading up to the tour.

Supporting Busted on the tour will be Hanson, known for number one hit MMMBop, and New Hope Club.

The trio of James Bourne, Charlie Simpson, and Matt Willis will play a series of 15 shows across the UK, including a performance at Aberdeen’s P&J Live on Tuesday, September 19.

Three of Busted’s four studio albums peaked at number two, with 4.5 million sales leading to eight Platinum certifications as well as a total of 25 weeks in the Top 10 and two five-times Platinum selling albums.

They have won two BRIT Awards – Best Pop Act and Best British Breakthrough – while multiple sold-out arena tours have seen them sell more than two million tickets.

In addition to the tour, a new version of Busted’s song Loser Kid featuring Simple Plan will be released on April 14, marking the first track to launch the 20th anniversary celebrations.

The song was the final track on their self-titled debut album and was co-written by Bourne, Simpson and Willis.

Simpson, who recently won the UK’s The Masked Singer, has kept busy with various projects, including four solo albums and four albums with the rock band Fightstar.

James Bourne is a songwriter, with credits including McFly, The Jonas Brothers, 5 Seconds of Summer, and The Vamps, as well as his band Son of Dork and two recent solo albums.

Meanwhile, Matt Willis won I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here after releasing his debut solo album. He has gone onto have a number of acting roles, including in 2.22 A Ghost Story in the West End.

Three mobile customers can get their hands on presale tickets on Wednesday, March 29, from 9am and tickets go on general sale at 9am on Friday, March 31, on Ticketmaster.
