Where is Novotel London Bridge?

The hotel is on Southwark Bridge road, less than ten minutes’ walk from London Bridge station, which is on the jubilee and northern line and has fantastic links out of London.

It’s also in a prime position to access all of the capital’s top sights and kid-friendly attractions at an affordable price.

What is Novotel London Bridge like?

It’s exactly what you’d expect from an Accor hotel, but there are just enough little touches to elevate it above business blandness, like deckchairs outside and multicoloured, lit-up welcome signs in the rooms.

What is there to do at Novotel London Bridge?

With the whole city at your finger tips, the hotel makes a super comfy base for exploring.

Just up the road is the famous Tate Modern art gallery that hosts regular exhibitions, many of which are free.

You’re also close to Tower Bridge and The Shard where you can stand 800ft above the Thames on a viewing gallery that has arguably the best views of London’s skyline.

When you are at the hotel, there’s enough to keep kids busy while you’re prepping for the day ahead, including colouring sheets and crayons that get handed out at breakfast time.

What is there to eat and drink at Novotel London Bridge?

The breakfast buffet is free for kids, and my four year-old attacked it with uncontrolled relish, diving into the sausages, beans and eggs.

The restaurant is decent, too – burgers cost £15 and ribeye steaks are £22.

It would be a shame to spend every evening here when the hotel is so close to Borough Market though, one of London’s renowned food hotspots.

It’s a five minute walk away and is filled with lots of incredible food stalls – there’s fresh pasta, tacos, paella, kebabs, doughnuts and so much more.

What are the rooms like at Novotel London Bridge?

The rooms don’t come with any notably wacky design flourishes, but have that surprisingly rare quality of having nothing to complain about.

You get big, comfy beds, powerful rain showers, plenty of plug and USB sockets and enough space for a family to move around each other in.

None of this is particularly exciting, perhaps, but sometimes you don’t want excitement – you want zero headaches.

Families can book a connecting room, which means you won’t have to go to bed when the little ones do.
