Nushrratt Bharuccha to return as Sakshi in Chhorii 2, WATCH | Bollywood Bubble

On Thursday, Nushrratt Bharuccha announced that she is all set to return as Sakshi in the Amazon Prime Video horror film, ‘Chhorii 2.’ Directed by Vishal Furia and produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, Jack Davis, Shikhaa Sharma, and Shiv Chanana. A remake of the Marathi-language film Lapachhapi (2017) which featured Pooja Sawant and Usha Naik in the lead roles.

Sharing the sequel, the ‘Sonu Ki Titu Ki Sweety’ actress shared a video on her social media and wrote: “It’s your love and encouragement that’s bringing us back! Ecstatic to share with you that the world of Chhorii will get a new edition in 2023. #Chhorii2”

‘Chhorii’ has been a massive hit and is being appreciated by the audience and critics alike. It also featured Mita Vashisht, Rajesh Jais and Saurabh Goyal. It was released on Amazon Prime Video on November 26.

Reportedly, ‘Chhorii 2’ will be picking up Sakshi’s story from where it left off in the first film. It is also set to bring back some key characters as well as introduce new scares.

Talking about the sequel, the ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama‘ actress expressed her excitement and said: “I am over the moon with the amazing reactions and success that Chhorii has met with! Chhorii was a significant departure from the work I had previously been a part of and to see the risk being rewarded is such a great feeling. Chhorii is a passion project for all of us and I cannot wait to engage with Vishal and the team as we take the story forward with Chhorii 2.”

Meanwhile, on the work front, Nushrratt is slated to appear in the romantic thriller ‘Hurdang’ opposite Sunny Kaushal, historical drama ‘Ram Setu’, and comedy film ‘Janhit Mein Jaari.’
