The Korean Business Research Institute has revealed this month’s brand reputation rankings for variety shows!
The rankings were determined through an analysis of the consumer participation, interaction, media coverage, community awareness, and viewership indexes of 50 popular variety programs, using big data collected from September 2 to October 2.
MBC’s “Home Alone” (“I Live Alone”) held onto its spot at the top of the list this month with a brand reputation index of 6,722,730, marking a 27.21 percent increase in its score since September.
High-ranking phrases in the show’s keyword analysis included “Pak Se Ri,” “Kim Ji Hoon,” and “Chun Jung Myung,” while its highest-ranking related terms included “return,” “transform,” and “reveal.” The program’s positivity-negativity analysis also revealed a score of 85.61 percent positive reactions.
SBS’s “My Little Old Boy” rose to second place in the rankings after seeing a 45.36 percent increase in their brand reputation index since last month, bringing its total score to 5,266,257 for October.
Meanwhile, SBS’s “Running Man” took third place for the month with a brand reputation index of 4,300,048, marking a 31.89 percent rise in its score since September.
Finally, MBC’s “Radio Star” and KBS’s “National Singing Contest” rounded out the top five at fourth and fifth places respectively.
