That appeared to be the case for a California man who dressed as a bottle of fireball Cinnamon Whisky for Halloween and ended up arrested for drunken disorderly conduct, domestic battery and other charges, according to California jail records.

Dominic Salazar, 31, was held in lieu of bond in Madera, a central California city, according to the Smoking Gun.

While dressed in his costume, Salazar even appeared to be smiling during his booking photo.

Perhaps he wasn’t smiling a few hours later. The story went viral after Halloween.

Walter Harold Mitchell, 61, was found guilty of 29 felony counts of concealing or abandoning a dead body, according to Yahoo.

“I take responsibility for what I did,” Mitchell said at his sentencing. “Whatever the court sees fit, I will live or die by. I am sorry.”

He will be credited for the nearly two years he has served since his 2020 arrest. Prosecutors were seeking a prison term of no less than 18 years.

Prosecutors said Mitchell took body donor parts in dry ice when he moved to Arizona and kept them in a freezer. He told authorities he dumped them in November 2020.

He was arrested after selling the freezer and moving to the Phoenix suburb of Scottsdale.

The remains consisted mostly of women and were linked to at least 12 people.

NO BUNK BEDS FOR YOU

Here’s a weird one: Foster parents in Maryland aren’t allowed to have bunk beds. Each foster child must have a normal bed, according to a state law.

The fine print of the Maryland’s foster care regulations says: “Each child shall have an individual bed that may not be stacked in vertical bunk bed formation,” according to Reason.com.

The rule was probably made for safety reasons, but it has downsides.

Ana Beltran, director of the Grandfamilies and Kinship Support Network — a nonprofit that focuses on intergenerational issues — says the law makes things difficult for those without a lot of money who might not have enough for extra beds.

“Maybe (a grandmother is) in affordable housing, in a studio apartment,” Beltran said. “Where is she going to put the grandkids if she doesn’t create a bunkbed situation?”

CAT-LIKE BED SHEETS A HIT

New bedsheets, which are supposed to feel like petting a cat, appear to be a hit.

The idea came from Japan — created by someone at a clothing and housewares company named Nissen. The inventor lived in a building that didn’t allow cats, a problem for the feline lover.

After months of testing and development, the company said it created bedsheets and blankets that feel like you’re petting a cat when you touch them.

The line includes a throw blanket, mattress pad, blankets and a cushion, costing (US)$13.30 to (US)$40.85. The first batch sold out in hours.
